Probably the biggest thorn in the side of any window manufacturer are the issues that develop in relation to hardware colors. Gone are the days when there was brown or white and everyone just got one or the other whether they liked it or not!
While today there are a lot more options out there, most of them cause more trouble for us than they are worth, not because people can`t necessarily decide, but mostly over the fact that not all hardware types have the same colors. If you stick to the basics, white, brown, silver, black and magnolia you are pretty safe, but get away from those and it gets messy. For example, in fly screens there are 20 standard colors to choose from which do not require an extra cost, in awning winders there are 10 in total, but in casement truth winders there are 6 colors, but only 5 of those are standard. Sashless units and louvre systems can be done in many of the dulux powdercoat colors, while double hung locks and lifts come in the same range of colors as the awning winders……….. confused yet?

Above is the range of powdercoat colors available as standard. You may be thinking it strange to have these colours available when you can`t match most of them to a winder etc, but the thing to remember is that some windows have screens on the inside, while other window types have screens on the outside…..so if you have a few different operating types in your job, its quite possible you may need several different flyscreen colors

Above are the whitco winder colors for the awning windows, which is the same color range as for the double hung locks and lifts.

Above are the range of colors available from "truth" hardware which is generally only used on casement windows.
EXTERNAL FLYSCREENS: Double hungs, Sashless units, Louvres, & Fixed Vents
