Sashless Units
Sashless units are becoming more and more popular as more people become aware of their existence. Sashless units, or commonly known as "shuggs" use a counter balanced concept, much like our own timber type, but without the timber sash on a conventional window. Glass is attached to supports which them slide up and down powder coated or natural anodized guides. Timber covers can be arranged for those who prefer it. Offering virtually unobstructed views, but with the benefits of a double hung, they will only continue to grow in popularity. Sashless units can be installed into fixed frames as well as installed into doors if required.
The sashless unit is also available in a horizontal sliding format, making them very flexible in their usage. All the companies producing the sashless units supply and install on-site after our timber frame has been fitted into works making them fairly hassle free.
